Welker top graduate of Patriots' re-education

I heard a comically awful interview on my drive home from the Miami Dolphins practice facility.

New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker, formerly of the Dolphins, was a guest on "The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz" on 790 the Ticket in Miami to talk about Sunday's game.

Welker was considered an old friend of the show from his Dolphins days, but the interview started off awkwardly and got much worse. Co-host Jon Weiner (Stugotz) had the temerity to ask Welker about the Patriots' Super Bowl loss and Tom Brady's injury. Welker's robotic responses smacked of being encoded.

Weiner: "What happened to you, man? You can't answer my questions? You're not allowed to answer the questions?"

Welker: "You're asking bad questions."

If the exchanges weren't laborious enough, Welker ended the interview after four minutes, cutting off Weiner's question and hanging up. The next sound was a dial tone.

The postmortem segment involved Le Batard and Weiner discussing what the heck happened.
