The AFC East blog continues its series on highly drafted players who have to show something in 2012. Next we shift our focus to a defensive lineman on the surging Buffalo Bills.
Player: DT Torrell Troup
Pick: Second round, 2010
Analysis: Troup showed promise as a rookie when he recorded 23 tackles in 15 games. But injuries kept Troup off the field in 2011 and he recorded just eight tackles in six games. This is a huge season for Troup to prove he is worthy of his status as a second-round pick. The Bills are stacked at defensive line, which includes tackles Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams returning from a foot injury. Troup will be asked to produce as a backup in the rotation and he can prove he's not a draft bust if he fills that modest role.
