Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC East:
Miami Dolphins linebacker Karlos Dansby said it's his goal to make it to the Hall of Fame.
Morning take: Dansby is a good player when he’s motivated and in shape. But some of his statements tend to be overboard. This is one of those times.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft says his quarterback, Tom Brady, is better than Joe Montana.
Morning take: Kraft obviously has a bias, but it is a close discussion. Montana was Brady’s favorite player growing up. But Montana has the edge of one more Super Bowl win. Unless Brady ties Montana, which is possible, I think that’s Montana’s edge.
Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson was hospitalized Thursday night.
Morning take: The AFC East blog sends get well wishes to Wilson, who is 93, as we await a further update.
New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott says this year's defense could be the best in team history.
Morning take: I really liked what I've seen from the Jets’ defense. This is a physical group that enjoys punishing opponents. However, the offense is so bad that I think New York’s defense could be on the field too much or put in too many bad spots to set new team records.
