Jets could be without LB Bart Scott

The New York Jets enter their rivalry game with the Miami Dolphins a banged up team. One of the key players who could miss Sunday’s game is starting linebacker Bart Scott. ESPNNewYork.com’s Jane McManus reports Scott missed his second straight practice Thursday with a toe injury.

Scott played just nine snaps last week loss to the New England Patriots. Rookie linebacker DeMario Davis played a bulk of the reps and could get the start Sunday against Miami.

"That injury is a tough one," Ryan told reporters. "The toe injury -- that could have kept him out the last three weeks, it really could've. But he's that kind of guy he's going to push all the way. And sometimes we got to look at it too. Maybe if it's up to Bart you know he's going to play, maybe we need to look at it and say, 'You know what Bart we'll see how it goes how it progresses.'"

The Jets have a lot of injured players coming into this game. In addition to Scott, linebacker Calvin Pace (shin), center Nick Mangold (ankle) and running backs Bilal Powell (shoulder) and Joe McKnight (ankle) have missed practice time this week.
