Morning take: Fireman Ed quits

Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC East:

Morning take: The superfan said he will attend, but not as Fireman Ed to get the crowd riled up. Strangely enough, he blamed fan reaction for the quarterback controversy with Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow. I thought it would be poor play.

  • Buffalo Bills receiver Steve Johnson said quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick should take over more of the play-calling.

Morning take: Is this a slight to Bills head coach Chan Gailey? The play-calling has been shaky this year, at best. Johnson said the offense is too "controlled" this year.

Morning take: A game-winning drive in the fourth quarter against Seattle is big for Tannehill’s development. He showed growth that we hadn’t seen earlier this season.

Morning take: The New England Patriots (8-3) trail the Baltimore Ravens (9-2) and Houston Texans (10-1). A first-round bye will be key for two of these teams.
