Playing time matters. That is the lesson we learned this week when the NFL announced its latest figures for jersey sales.
When popular quarterback Tim Tebow arrived to the New York Jets, the hype was immense and his jersey sales were near the top of the league. But Tebow has been a seldom-used backup in New York and the experiment has been a bust. Therefore, Tebow's sales have dropped to No. 8.
Overall, that is still a pretty strong showing for Tebow. He is still the second-most popular player in the AFC East in terms of jersey sales. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is ahead of Tebow and No. 5 overall.
No other AFC East player made the top 10.
