Morning take: Who's the Jets' QB?

Morning take: Ryan benched starter Mark Sanchez for third-stringer Greg McElroy. That led to a Jets victory. But Ryan now wants to keep everyone guessing between Sanchez, McElroy and Tim Tebow.

  • The New England Patriots have the No. 2 seed in the AFC after beating the Miami Dolphins.

Morning take: The Patriots got a huge assist when the Baltimore Ravens lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers. New England, Baltimore and the Denver Broncos (all three at 9-3 overall) are in a three-way tie. But the Patriots have the best conference record.

  • Buffalo Bills No. 1 receiver Steve Johnson says he has some work to do on his hamstring in order to play next week.

Morning take: The Bills need Johnson in their offense. He’s the only reliable receiver Buffalo has.

  • Miami Dolphins sources tell the NFL Network they fear left tackle Jake Long has a torn triceps.

Morning take: That is the expectation. Long was in street clothes in the second half, which is a sign he could be out for an extended period.
