The New York Jets continue their general manager search with two new candidates. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the team has requested permission to interview Brian Gaine of the Miami Dolphins and Jimmy Raye of the San Diego Chargers.
New York's search has been going on for nearly two weeks and continues to expand. Reports indicated Tom Gamble of the San Francisco 49ers was the favorite. But two more interviews indicate New York has yet to make its decision.
The Jets need to decide on a general manager soon. According to ESPN senior writer John Clayton, New York is $19.4 million over the salary cap and has plenty of roster changes that need to be made.
