Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC East:
Miami Dolphins left tackle Jake Long reportedly could be seeking $10 million per season.
Morning take: If that's the case, Long probably played his last down in Miami. Long may get that money somewhere, but the Dolphins know better than anyone that he's on the decline.
Should the New York Jets trade Antonio Cromartie instead of Darrelle Revis?
Morning take: Revis is the better cornerback, but he's also the player entering the final year of his contract. The Jets cannot pay Revis elite money this year and need to get something.
Could the Buffalo Bills be interested in Revis?
Morning take: Buffalo needs another corner. But the Jets are not trading Revis to a division rival and the Bills cannot pay Revis eventually what he wants. That type of money is reserved in Buffalo for Mario Williams.
Did the Patriots' trade with the Kansas City Chiefs for quarterback Matt Cassel do in former New England executive Scott Pioli.
Morning take: In hindsight, it was a bad trade. Cassel played one full year in New England and Pioli thought he found his franchise quarterback to take to Kansas City. It turns out Cassel was not the long-term solution.
