Bills get on the board with Manny Lawson

The Miami Dolphins dominated the free-agent landscape Tuesday during the opening of free agency. The Buffalo Bills finally got on the board by adding their first free agent in Day 2.

Buffalo signed former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Manny Lawson. He recorded 39 tackles and two sacks for Cincinnati last season.

Linebacker is Buffalo’s biggest need after ranking 31st against the run last season. The Bills also will switch to a 3-4 defense under new defensive coordinator Mike Pettine.

Lawson is not a major addition. But he will be added to the pile of Buffalo linebackers and should have a chance to compete for a starting job.
