Poll: Best first round in AFC East?

It was a very busy first round of the NFL draft for the AFC East, and the division was full of surprises. There were trades, multiple picks and one controversial selection at quarterback.

But now that we've had time to reflect, which AFC East team had the best first round?

Was it the Miami Dolphins? General manager Jeff Ireland has been very aggressive this offseason and continued that trend Thursday by trading up to get former Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan at No. 3. Miami needs playmakers and Jordan could develop into a stud opposite Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake. Was this the best move of the first round?

Or did the New York Jets have the best first round? The Jets selected former Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner and defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson of Missouri. Milliner is the best corner in the draft and could eventually replace Darrelle Revis, who was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Richardson will boost New York’s run defense.

What can we say about the controversial Buffalo Bills? They were the only team in the first round to draft a quarterback, but it wasn’t who most expected. The Bills drafted former Florida State quarterback EJ Manuel after trading down to No. 16 with the St. Louis Rams. The pick will define the Doug Marrone era in Buffalo.

Finally, the New England Patriots traded out of the first round, as expected. The Patriots entered the draft with only five picks. But they gained second-, third-, fourth- and seventh-round picks from the Minnesota Vikings for No. 29 overall in the first round. Was this the best move in the AFC East?
