The AFC East blog on Tuesday called ESPN.com senior writer John Clayton to tap into his vast computer database. Here is updated salary-cap information for each team in the division:
No. 1: Buffalo Bills, $13.061 million cap space
No. 2: New York Jets, $10.5 million
No. 3: New England Patriots, $8.84 million
No. 4: Miami Dolphins, $8.4 million
Keep in mind these numbers do not account for the signings of undrafted free agents. The Jets also will take a hit for their recent release of quarterback Tim Tebow. But each AFC East team still has enough cap space to make a late push for veteran free agents to improve their roster.
