Goodson was asked to sit out last week after recently getting arrested and facing weapons and drug charges. The Jets are taking a wait-and-see approach with Goodson and will let the legal system run its course.
Jets general manager John Idzik signed Goodson to a three-year, $6.9 million contract with New York this offseason. Goodson already was paid a $1 million signing bonus up front and is projected to compete with Chris Ivory for the starting job at running back if he remains on the roster.
The Jets will open its practices to the media on Thursday, and Goodson likely will get a lot of attention now that he re-joined the team.
