Bills not happy about schedule quirks

The New York Jets had two weeks to prepare for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, and they haven't been alone this season.

The Bills' schedule includes six teams coming off bye weeks or long weeks (i.e. following a Thursday night game), the most of any team in the NFL.

On Wednesday, Bills CEO Russ Brandon told WGR 550 that the Bills have addressed the scheduling anomaly with the league.

"We certainly have talked to the league about this because it’s a little bit disappointing where we have six games that teams are coming off a bye or a long week," Brandon said.

When the Bills and Jets met in Week 3, the Jets were coming off another long week, following a Thursday night game in New England.

"It is a very, very tough job in what they have in scheduling, in all the things that go into the formula and all the different stadium commitments and television schedules," Brandon said. "But that is certainly something that needs to be addressed."
