Ty Law making impact after long layoff

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Ty Law isn't wading back into the NFL waters.

The newly signed New York Jets cornerback hasn't played in 11 months, but much of his time Thursday night has been spent guarding New England Patriots superstar Randy Moss.

At halftime, Moss has zero catches.

The Jets' pass defense has been doing a remarkable job all the way around aside from Dwight Lowery giving up a 19-yard touchdown lob to Jabar Gaffney at the end of the second quarter.

But the Jets have held Wes Welker, who has caught at least six passes in 13 straight games, to two receptions for 26 yards.
