FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Pro Bowl center Dan Koppen, who left the game in the first half with a left elbow injury, is back in the game for the New England Patriots. He has made a quick impact.

On first-and-10 from the New York Jets' 38-yard line, Koppen shotgun snapped the ball past quarterback Matt Cassel, who wasn't ready. The wild snap turned into a 24-yard loss.

The Patriots, who had been nearing field-goal range, eventually punted.
