Brohm gets the call for Buffalo

Brian Brohm, cut by the Green Bay Packers after training camp and sentenced to their practice squad, will make his regular-season debut Sunday for the Buffalo Bills.

BrohmBrohm has been given the start against the Atlanta Falcons in the Georgia Dome. The Bills signed him off the Packers' practice squad in November, and fans have wanted to get a glimpse of him ever since.

Buffalo's other quarterbacks, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Trent Edwards, have injured ankles.

"There's no doubt that this is a big deal," Brohm said Wednesday of the possibility he would get the call. "It will be a big game for me and a great opportunity.

"You never know how many opportunities you’re going to get, and you never know what circumstances they are going to be under. You have to be ready to take advantage of them and whenever they do come about, however they come about, you really never know how it’s going to happen."
