Week after breaking tie, Tom Brady extends player-of-week record

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- One week after breaking a tie with Peyton Manning by recording his 28th AFC Offensive Player of the Week honor, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady added No. 29.

Brady was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Patriots to a comeback 36-33 victory over the Houston Texans. He finished 25-of-35 for 378 yards, with five touchdowns and no interceptions, leading his 52nd career fourth-quarter comeback from a tie or deficit.

It also marks the fourth time in Brady's career that he has won back-to-back AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Brady won the award after the team's Week 2 win at New Orleans, when he was 30-of-39 for 447 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
