For the second straight week, the New York Jets' next opponent has signed one of their former players right before the game.
Last week, the New England Patriots signed former Jets running back Danny Woodhead the day before they played at the Meadowlands. While that move conjured images of the Patriots' coaching staff pumping Woodhead for all the info he could divulge on the Jets' game plan, Bill Belichick claimed he didn't even speak to Woodhead before the game because the team already had pulled out of Foxborough, Mass.
The Dolphins, however, have much more time to conduct a skull session with Brown. They reportedly came to terms Friday, and the Dolphins are the home team Sunday night, giving head coach Tony Sparano and defensive coordinator Mike Nolan ample time to find out what the Jets' game plan might entail.
The Dolphins waived tackle Jeremy Parnell to make room for Brown. The Jets acquired Brown off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings a week before the season opener.
