Steelers not looking at elite QBs

The NFL owners meetings are getting underway Monday, and Scott Brown of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review already has an interesting nugget from the Steelers.

According to Pittsburgh director of football operations Kevin Colbert, the Steelers will not take an elite quarterback in next month's NFL draft.

The reason this is a topic of discussion is due to the recent sexual assault allegation in Milledgeville, Ga., facing starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. To this point, no charges have been filed.

Currently the Steelers have a young backup in Dennis Dixon, and the team still has veteran free agent Charlie Batch on the short list.
