CINCINNATI -- Rey Maualuga addressed the media for the first time Monday since his offseason arrest for DUI.
The second-year linebacker was emotional and, in my opinion, very sincere in his apology to the Cincinnati Bengals and their fans.
"All I can say is you're looking at a different guy, a different person," Maualuga said. "I just hope the city of Cincinnati would accept my apology and hopefully help me through all of this."
Maualuga also called his incident and subsequent rehab a "life-changer" and a "blessing in disguise."
