Potential Super Bowl sleepers

TAMPA, Fla. -- Remember Dexter Jackson?

How about Desmond Howard, Larry Brown or Deion Branch?

These were all Super Bowl MVPs and further proof that any player could step up on the NFL's biggest stage.

If the Steelers are successful against the Arizona Cardinals, here are some potential sleepers:

RB Willie Parker: The Steelers' tailback has a track record of big Super Bowls. In Pittsburgh's last appearance, Parker rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown in a Super Bowl XL win over the Seattle Seahawks. The biggest play of that game was a 75-yard touchdown. Pittsburgh can only hope for a similar performance Sunday from Parker.

CB Ike Taylor: How many times has Taylor fielded questions about Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald this week? This surely was annoying for Taylor, but it could also serve as motivation. Just as there will be a lot of attention on Fitzgerald, that same spotlight also will be shining on Taylor. A shutdown game could earn him MVP honors.

LB LaMarr Woodley: Woodley earned seven tackles and two sacks against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game. Similar numbers Sunday could earn a trip to Disney World. Teammate James Harrison gets a lot of attention and double teams on the other side, so Woodley will have opportunities to make an impact.

WR Santonio Holmes: Quietly, Holmes has come up with big plays in every playoff game, and Pittsburgh can definitely use another big play in the Super Bowl. With receiver Hines Ward playing on a hurt right knee, Holmes will have a chance to be the team's top target. Holmes also is a threat on special teams.
