Pittsburgh Steelers president Art Rooney II held a news conference Thursday to discuss quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Rooney said in the press conference that his star quarterback is expected to be disciplined, either by the team or the league.
Although specifics were not made, this most likely means Roethlisberger will not play at start of the 2010 season. The league and the Steelers are probably trying to figure out what amount is suitable -- whether it's one, two or four or more games.
A firm decision will not be made until after the NFL draft, Rooney said. But either way, Roethlisberger's off-the-field actions officially will impact the Steelers on the field with him not in the lineup.
