Morning take: 'Big Ben' better than Romo?

Here are the most interesting stories Wednesday in the AFC North:

  • Jean-Jacques Taylor of the Dallas Morning News is convinced Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is better than Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

Morning take: NFC East counterpart Matt Mosley and I have been arguing this topic for months. Finally, someone in Dallas is not blinded by those big stars on the Cowboys' helmet.

  • Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain Dealer writes new Browns general manager George Kokinis won't rule out anything with quarterbacks Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn.

Morning take: Part of me wants to see these two compete and finally put an end to a 2-year-old question. Another part thinks it's time to trade Anderson and just move on.

  • Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun writes the Ravens likely will use the franchise tag on DE/OLB Terrell Suggs if the team cannot reach a long-term agreement this week.

Morning take: The Ravens want no part of "T. Sizzle" hitting the open market. Check back later today for more on franchise tag possibilities within the division.

Morning take: I don't live in Cincinnati, but I hear this has been the talk of the city for a full two days. The Bengals need the Reds to get going quickly to take the negative attention away.
