The Cleveland Browns signed free-agent running back Noah Herron Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not released.

Herron, 26, was a former seventh-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also played with the Green Bay Packers and last year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

For his career, Herron has rushed for 273 yards and three touchdowns on 85 carries. He will likely compete for the third running back spot behind starter Jamal Lewis and backup Jerome Harrison.

Former Browns running back Jason Wright signed this week with the Arizona Cardinals.
