Was Oher Blindsided?

NEW YORK -- If you've paid any attention to the Ravens over the past decade, the Michael Oher pick at No. 23 didn't catch you by surprise. Ozzie Newsome and his staff love loading up on offensive linemen. It looks like Jared Gaither has a chance to be the long-term answer at left tackle, but now Oher will give the Ravens another option. Gaither could eventually move to right tackle and Oher could replace on the left side.

The Ravens believe you can never have enough linemen on either side of the ball. And that's why you see them let a pretty talented center hit the open market. They always believe someone else is out there.

I know the Ravens were in love with Oklahoma State tight end Brandon Pettigrew, but he was long gone -- to the Detroit Lions. By the way, I'm not sure who has the biggest crowd: Radio City Music Hall or Vontae Davis' house? Huge celebration going on over there. Oh I see Brian Orakpo walking toward Jay Glazer. I'm going to intercept. By the way, Glazer has become the master of the journalist-player man hug. No one does it any better than you, Jay.
