Schefter: Montario Hardesty has torn ACL

The Cleveland Browns may be in for the worst possible scenario with rookie running back Montario Hardesty.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting Hardesty has a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee. The injury will sideline him for the 2010 season.

Hardesty made his NFL debut Thursday against the Chicago Bears and was injured in the first half. He sprained his right knee earlier this summer and had a reputation for being prone to injuries in college.
