Younger Flacco stays in Baltimore

BEREA, Ohio -- In the midst of the Cleveland Browns' mandatory minicamp, we have a quick baseball story to pass along to Baltimore Ravens fans.

Earlier on Thursday, the Baltimore Orioles drafted third baseman Mike Flacco in the 31st round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. Mike Flacco, 22, is the younger brother of Ravens starting quarterback Joe Flacco, 24. Here is a recent interview I had with Joe Flacco discussing his younger brother.

This is an interesting move for the Orioles because the last name alone will make Mike Flacco an instant fan favorite in Baltimore's farm system. Plus, if he does eventually make it to the majors, the Flacco brothers could end up playing professional sports together in the same city.
