Cleveland Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme (ankle) missed his third straight practice, further increasing the chance that backup quarterback Seneca Wallace will start Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs (1-0).
Browns (0-1) head coach Eric Mangini didn't rule out Delhomme on Friday. But it's not often that a quarterback plays with zero practice time during the week. Delhomme hurt his ankle last week in a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wallace received all the first-team reps in practice and looks like the favorite to be the starter.
There is a chance Delhomme could play at less than 100 percent, but he didn't look good in doing so against the Bucs in the second half. We will have more on Wallace and Delhomme in Friday's "Final Word" in the AFC North blog.
