Morning take: Harrell hoping Browns call

Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC North:

  • Former Texas Tech record-setting quarterback Graham Harrell is hopeful the Cleveland Browns will invite him to training camp this summer.

Morning take: Harrell had a chance to impress the Browns earlier this spring and has yet to get another invite. He would still be a long shot as it appears Cleveland is set with its young trio of Brady Quinn, Derek Anderson and Brett Ratliff this season.

Morning take: Palmer's throws had good zip in minicamp last week, so it's hard to tell how much velocity he can add before the regular season. But the stronger the throws this fall against NFL defenses, the better.

Morning take: Art Rooney II soon will take over as primary owner of the Steelers but don't expect many changes.

  • The Baltimore Ravens signed rookie third-round pick Lardarius Webb to a three-year deal.

Morning take: The Ravens like Webb's versatility at cornerback and safety as they will continue to try and find a niche for Webb in training camp.
