Here are the most interesting stories Wednesday in the AFC North:
The return of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger should help starting tailback Rashard Mendenhall.
Morning take: Mendenhall is already off to a great start. He's second in the NFL with 411 rushing yards. But now he should see less defenders in the box with Roethlisberger under center.
Baltimore Ravens backup defensive lineman Paul Kruger will miss two weeks with a knee injury.
Morning take: Kruger was just making his way back before his second injury of the season. Although the play didn't count, he flashed some ability with a nice strip and sack of Pittsburgh quarterback Charlie Batch.
Here is a look at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1), the Cincinnati Bengals' next opponent.
Morning take: Tampa was one of the NFL's early surprises and is coming off a bye. With the way the Bengals are playing lately, they can't afford to look past anyone.
Cleveland Browns linebacker Matt Roth is making a name for himself.
Morning take: Roth has been solid from the time he joined the Browns. He's hard to move in the running game and had two sacks in last week's win over Cincinnati.
