Morning take: AFC North goes 0-2

Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC North:

  • The Cincinnati Bengals have no answers after the Miami Dolphins gave Cincinnati its fourth straight loss.

Morning take: If it wasn't for high-profile teams like the Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati would get a lot more attention for their disappointing season. I expected more from this group.

  • The Pittsburgh Steelers couldn't stop quarterback Drew Brees, who threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns in a win for the New Orleans Saints.

Morning take: Pittsburgh's pass defense has had trouble with several quarterbacks lately. Brees, Chad Henne and Colt McCoy all put up respectable numbers against the Steelers.

Morning take: Every player has a story. This is a good piece on Elam's journey.

Morning take: They're in first place in the AFC North. So that's a successful start. Now it's a two-team race with Pittsburgh the rest of the way.
