Morning take: Seymour suspension?

Here are the most interesting stories Monday in the AFC North:

  • Oakland Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour will be fined for hitting Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. But should he be suspended?

Morning take: With the way the NFL protects its quarterbacks, I predict Seymour will have to sit at least one game. His actions were extremely unprofessional.

  • The Baltimore Ravens turned up the heat on defense in beating the Carolina Panthers.

Morning take: Two defensive touchdowns to put the game away in the fourth quarter was vintage Ravens. This could provide the defense some momentum.

  • After losing 49-31 to the Buffalo Bills, receiver Terrell Owens says the Cincinnati Bengals are "terrible."

Morning take: You think? Who else gives up 35 straight points to the Buffalo Bills?

  • Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Colt McCoy injured his ankle and was in a boot after a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Morning take: Not only did the Browns suffer a momentum-changing defeat, but they may be without their rookie quarterback this week. Every starting quarterback for Cleveland has suffered an ankle sprain this season.
