Here are the most interesting stories Tuesday in the AFC North:
Is Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall on the cusp of stardom?
Morning take: A big Super Bowl against a very good Packers defense would go a long way. Mendenhall is already coming off one of his best games of the season against the Jets.
The Baltimore Ravens are scheduled to meet with offensive tackle Jared Gaither, according to the NFL Network.
Morning take: This is a surprise because Gaither wanted a new contract last year and didn't get it. Perhaps the inconsistent play on the offensive line could lead to a change of heart.
Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson is encouraged that offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski was fired.
Morning take: No surprise here. Benson said he wasn't returning if Bratkowski stayed. Now the Bengals have to find a replacement.
The Cleveland Browns hired four assistant coaches on Monday.
Morning take: Mark Whipple is the biggest name, because he will work with rookie quarterback Colt McCoy. But I still wonder if not hiring an offensive coordinator is the right move.
