Here are the most interesting stories Thursday in the AFC North:
After missing most of training camp and three preseason games, Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowler Terrell Suggs will play in Thursday’s preseason finale against the Atlanta Falcons.
Morning take: Suggs (heel) sat out one full month to be exact. He missed so much time teammates were jokingly asking who’s the new guy in practice wearing No. 55?
The final preseason game has a lot of meaning for the Cleveland Browns.
Morning take: Unlike most teams, the Browns still have a lot of position battles to be decided. Whether quarterback is one of them is up for interpretation.
The New England Patriots worked out former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive guard Kendall Simmons.
Morning take: When Darnell Stapleton (knee) was put on injured reserve, I’m a little surprise Simmons didn’t at least get an exploratory call from Pittsburgh.
The Cincinnati Bengals are struggling to sell out games this year.
Morning take: With the economy down, it is no longer a given that NFL teams will sell out. Now you legitimately have to put a solid product on the field that fans can believe in.
