Bengals look good early

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Cincinnati Bengals needed to make an early statement against the heavily-favored Green Bay Packers, and they did just that with their opening drive.

Cincinnati stopped Green Bay early, then scored a touchdown on a 5-yard pass from quarterback Carson Palmer to receiver Laveranues Coles. Cedric Benson was particularly sharp running the football. He had 40 yards rushing during Cincinnati’s 63-yard drive.

The Bengals needed a good start after last week’s heart-breaking loss to the Denver Broncos, and they're showing early that they're ready to play this week.

(Update: The Packers responded on their next drive with a Donald Driver touchdown reception to tie the score, 7-7.)
