Another week, another defensive award for the Ravens.
Baltimore outside linebacker Jarret Johnson was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week, the third Ravens player to win this award in the first four weeks of the season. Johnson follows linebackers Terrell Suggs (Week 1) and Ray Lewis (Week 3) as previous Ravens winners.
Johnson received the honor after three tackles (one for loss), two quarterback hits, one pass defensed and a 26-yard touchdown off a fumble return in the Ravens' 34-17 win over the New York Jets.
It is believed to be Johnson's first NFL award. He has played in 117 straight games, which is a Ravens record.
The Ravens defense, which is ranked third in the NFL, has scored as many touchdowns (four) as it's allowed (four) this year.
