Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has been one of the most impressive rookies in the NFL this season. But he certainly didn't make a great first impression with some Seahawks last Sunday.
Sherman had a solid game against Green, intercepting a deep pass down the sideline that was underthrown for the fourth overall pick of the 2011 draft. And Green's 43-yard touchdown came on a double move against safety Earl Thomas.
Still, it's a stretch to call Green overrated. Green leads rookies in receptions (33), receiving yards (516) and receiving touchdowns (five). Among all receivers, he ranks in the top 10 in catches and receiving yards.
"He wasn't anything special," Sherman said. "[Andy] Dalton was a good quarterback. He makes good decisions, but A.J. Green is just a lot of noise talking and bad routes."
