Bengals stress 'poise' against Steelers

CINCINNATI -- On his weekly television show, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said "poise" will be the key in beating the Pittsburgh Steelers today.

"It's a small word with a lot of meaning," Lewis said.

Where the Bengals have shown maturity is in limiting their mistakes. Cincinnati has turned the ball over eight times, which is the fewest in the AFC. Rookie quarterback Andy Dalton has thrown seven interceptions (14th in the NFL) and none in the red zone.

When told that the Bengals have had a lot of poise this season, Lewis responded, "We need more of it."
