HOUSTON -- I'm on the road to cover both AFC North teams playing on wild-card weekend. My first stop is in Texas where I will see the Bengals play the Texans.

Some don't believe the Bengals (9-7) have earned their playoff spot this year based on who they've beaten. Cincinnati is 8-1 against teams that currently don't have winning records. But, when it comes to playing teams with winning records, the Bengals are only 1-6.

Cincinnati, though, has been competitive against the better teams. Of the Bengals' six losses to winning teams, five have been decided by eight points or less.

The Bengals will have another chance at a team with a winning record today against the Texans (10-6).
