AFC North evening update

Posted by ESPN.com’s James Walker

The AFC North blog spent the entire day with the Cleveland Browns following the Braylon Edwards trade.

But here are some other news and notes from within the division on Wednesday:

  • It has been confirmed that former Baltimore Raven Tony Fien passed away Tuesday. He was cut by the team last month and the cause of death remains unknown.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers tailback Rashard Mendenhall received AFC North Offensive Player of the Week honors.

  • As expected, Steelers safety Troy Polamalu (knee) had limited participation in practice.

  • With Brad St. Louis struggling, the Cincinnati Bengals auditioned long snapper Nathan Hodel but didn’t sign him.
