Blogger Blitz: Return of Browns' T.J. Ward

One reason why the Cleveland Browns defense should be better this season is the return of strong safety T.J. Ward. He missed the last eight games in 2011 because of a sprained right foot.

Ward never required surgery and indicated his foot was "100 percent" three months ago. When I attended Browns minicamp, Ward was moving around well and breaking up passes.

Before the injury, Ward was one of the more durable players on the team. In games when Ward was active, he played in 91.9 percent of snaps for the Browns defense last season, the fourth-highest rate on the Browns defense, according to ESPN Stats & Information's Jason Vida.
