In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the AFC North blog is picking out one player for whom the team is thankful for having:
While the Steelers are thankful for having Heath Miller, the Pittsburgh tight end is probably more thankful that Todd Haley is now the team's offensive coordinator. In his past two seasons under Bruce Arians, Miller averaged three catches per game and scored four touchdowns. In 10 games with Haley, he has averaged 4.5 catches per game and has scored six touchdowns.
Miller has 37 career receiving touchdowns, which ties Elbie Nickel (37) for the most by a tight end in Steelers history. Pittsburgh is 25-8 when Miller scores a touchdown. Miller has 45 catches this season, which trails Mike Wallace by one for the team lead.
