Scouts Inc. on Terrell Suggs

In this week's visit to the film room, we take a look at Baltimore Ravens linebacker/defensive end Terrell Suggs and the fast start he's having this year.

Here is comprehensive film analysis from Scouts Inc.'s Keith Kidd:

"Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan is the best in the NFL at attacking opposing offenses with his complex defensive schemes that consist of a lot of moving parts. The Ravens do an unbelievable job of not allowing the quarterback to neutralize their linebackers due to all the unique looks and pre-snap movements. In watching the Ravens' defense this week, there is no doubt you MUST account for Terrell Suggs on every down, especially in pass-rush situations. He is a rare athlete that has rare anticipation, initial quickness and first-step explosion. He has the speed and quickness to bend and shorten the edge when closing on the quarterback.

He has quick, active hands, and long arms that allow him to keep separation from block points with effective counter moves. He is very versatile in the way he is used on first and second down -- dropping in space at times -- and he aligns mainly on the right side in passing situations. And, oh by the way, he can play the run too, which makes him even more special. Suggs is going to hit the jackpot in the off-season as an unrestricted free agent because great pass rushers are hard to find. In my opinion, he is one of the best pure pass rushers heading towards elite status in the NFL."
