Lights back on at the Super Bowl

NEW ORLEANS -- Not sure whether Beyonce used too much electricity in the halftime show or the Baltimore Ravens pulled the plug on the San Francisco 49ers, but there was an unprecedented delay at the Super Bowl.

With the Ravens leading 28-6, half of the lights in the Superdome went out and the biggest game in the NFL was stopped with 13:22 left in the third quarter. It was officially a 34-minute delay before play resumed.

During the delay, the players stretched and the fans did the wave in the upper deck. The 49ers should be used to this. Last year, the lights went out at Candlestick Park during a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
