Day 2 draft projections in AFC North

The NFL draft will resume at 6:30 ET tonight, so it's time to look ahead. Let's see what is in store for the AFC North teams in Day 2 of the draft, which features the second and third rounds.


Friday's picks: Second round (37th and 53rd) and third round (84th).

Biggest needs: Strong safety, offensive tackle, running back.

Potential targets: Safeties Johnathan Cyprien (Florida International) and Shawn Williams (Georgia); OTs Menelik Watson (Florida State) and Brennan Williams (North Carolina); RBs Montee Ball (Wisconsin), Giovani Bernard (North Carolina) and Johnathan Franklin (UCLA).


Friday's picks: Third round (68th).

Biggest needs: Cornerback, free safety, guard.

Potential targets: CBs Jordan Poyer (Oregon State), Blidi Wreh-Wilson (Connecticut) and David Amerson (North Carolina State); FSs Tony Jefferson (Oklahoma) and Bacarri Rambo (Georgia); and guards Alvin Bailey (Arkansas) and Brian Winters (Kent State).


Friday's picks: Second round (48th) and third round (79th).

Biggest needs: Tight end, running back, defensive end, safety.

Potential targets: TEs Zach Ertz (Stanford) and Travis Kelce (Cincinnati); RBs Eddie Lacy (Alabama), Le'Veon Bell (Michigan State) and Andre Ellington (Clemson); DEs Margus Hunt (SMU) and Kawann Short (Purdue); and safeties D.J. Swearinger (South Carolina) and Phillip Thomas (Fresno State).


Friday's picks: Second round (62nd) and third round (94th).

Biggest needs: Wide receiver, inside linebacker, offensive tackle.

Potential targets: WRs Robert Woods (USC), Keenan Allen (California) and Quinton Patton (Louisiana Tech); ILBs Manti Te'o (Notre Dame), Kevin Minter (LSU), Kevin Reddick (North Carolina); and OTs Terron Armstead (Arkansas-Pine Bluff) and Oday Aboushi (Virginia).
