PITTSBURGH -- The Steelers' first touchdown Sunday was significant for tailback Rashard Mendenhall. Not only did his score from 4 yards out give Pittsburgh a 13-3 lead, but it capped Mendenhall's first 1,000-yard season in the NFL.
The second-year pro has stepped in for veteran starter Willie Parker to run the ball well this season. Mendenhall is expected to be the future of the Steelers at tailback, as Parker is due to become a free agent.
(Update: Ravens tight end Todd Heap makes a 30-yard touchdown catch to cut Pittsburgh's lead to 13-10.)
