"Usually I'm running off to the sideline pretty (ticked) off that we didn't score a touchdown," quarterback Joe Flacco said. "But when you're sitting in the locker room and you have that feeling of victory, you look back and say, 'Man, it's pretty awesome to have a guy like that.'"

Offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell said that tight end Dennis Pitta has looked good since his workload in practice has increased this week. Pitta, who is on the Injured Reserve-Designated for Return list, could be activated for Sunday's game. "He’s coming along," Caldwell said, via The Carroll County (Md.) Times, "but he’s getting his feet back under him. He’s moving well. For him, I’m sure it’s going to be a work in progress. He’s getting a lot more work this week than he did last week, and we’ll see how it goes.”
Cornerback Jimmy Smith said he didn't lose consciousness in his collision with Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell at the goal line last week. "I wasn't knocked out completely cold, so I didn't have as bad as what the other guy did," Smith said, via The Baltimore Sun. "I feel fine. He hit his head on the ground pretty hard. He's a huge back. It wasn't like I went out there unscathed. He's a big back." Smith had a full practice Thursday after being limited Wednesday.
