The AFC North went 3-1 in Week 17, which didn't help the division's cause much in the latest ESPN.com Power Rankings.
Here is how the AFC North ranked to end the regular season:
Cincinnati Bengals (10-6)
Last week: No. 7
Current ranking: No. 9
Analysis: The AFC North champs suffered a 37-point thrashing to the New York Jets to drop the Bengals two spots to No. 9. But Cincinnati, which rested starters last week, will be full go Saturday in its rematch with New York. The Bengals have been rated in the top 10 for much of the season following their hot start and dominance throughout the division.
Baltimore Ravens (9-7)
Last week: No. 11
Current ranking: No. 11
Analysis: The Ravens held firm at No. 11 after beating the Oakland Raiders to get into the postseason. It wasn't a dominant performance, but it was enough to extend Baltimore's season. Sunday the Ravens will face the New England Patriots, who are rated No. 10. It should be an even matchup. Baltimore suffered two close losses to New England in its past two meetings.
Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7)
Last week: No. 12
Current ranking: No. 13
Analysis: Pittsburgh ended the year on a three-game winning streak. But the final win over the Miami Dolphins last week didn’t help the Steelers' playoff chances or in ESPN.com's Power Rankings. Pittsburgh dropped one spot to end the year rated No. 13. The Steelers were the highest-rated non-playoff team.
Cleveland Browns (5-11)
Last week: No. 27
Current ranking: No. 25
Analysis: Commend the Browns for digging themselves out of the basement. Cleveland finished the year on a four-game winning streak to end the season rated No. 25. The Browns ranked last before the losing streak but gradually moved up seven spots. Cleveland is one team with a losing record that wished the season was longer.
