NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Pittsburgh Steelers made a mental error and it cost them in a major way.
The Steelers stopped the Tennessee Titans on three downs at their goal line. But an unsportsmanlike conduct call against defensive end Aaron Smith during a field-goal attempt gave Tennessee a first down and eventual touchdown to increase its lead to 24-14 in the fourth quarter.
No official word was given beyond the player and the infraction. But it appears Smith was yelling and trying to simulate the snap count, which the referees weren't too fond of.
We will attempt to clarify this big play after the game.
